Viburnum lantana 'Mohican' A seedling selection by Donald Egolf in 1952 from seed collected in Poland and later introduced by the U.S. National Arboretum in 1966. Habit is very dense, upright when young, then becoming spreading but remaining dense. Foliage is thick, dark green, and heavily textured.

Viburnum lantana is a multistemmed spreading shrub growing 10 to 15 feet height, somewhat rounded outline. The foliage is dull dark green, a bit leatherey, with fine down on the undersides, fall color can be purplish, not reliable for fall color. The white flowers lack fragrance, the yellow stamens make for a creamy overall color effect.
