Pretty much what is expected in a small town although I have seen some smaller towns with larger stores. Sheels and JC penny and sears is pretty much the largest stores there. Again I wasn't expecting a lot coming from southern.

The Holiday Village Mall is the largest mall in Great Falls. It has a decent number of stores but not like larger centres in Phoenix/Vegas. The mall has a weird layout so we drove the car around so that we didn't have to carry bags all over the mall. It provided a few hours of shopping but not a great mall. Average at best.
