Manta GT/E Exclusive. The GT/E Exclusive was the final incarnation of the Opel Manta. It was initially made as a special edition model by Irmscher, the Opel owned Styling and Tuning company. Unlike the sportier-looking Opel GT, with its transverse leaf spring front suspension, the Manta uses upper and lower A-arms and coil springs, and they do an admirable job keeping the front wheels in contact with the road. The Manta's rear suspension is similarly exotic, especially for what was considered to be an economy car in the 1970s.
