The Sun. When Munch left the Kornhaug Sanatorium, his art seemed to have developed. Pessimistic themes were still present, but not to the same extent. Within the year, he produced a large painting entitled The Sun. The colours used are bright, and the rays of the sun seem to stretch to each corner of the painting.
