Long ago, I traveled to Avila from Madrid by train. It was perfectly satisfactory, but I had to transfer from the Airport to Chamartin train station. Currently, this station looks more like a "war zone", lots of construction going on, but still perfectly functional. If you opt for train travel check the RENFE website and see what the options are.

3 15 Sandbar Island @ Labadee Review of Labadee Reviewed October 29, 2013 Labadee is a great stop on many of Royal Caribbean's ship. It is truley a beachlovers paradise. Much to do but my favorite is the "Sandbar Island Excursion". There are two excursions daily. I always choose the "adult only" cruise which leaves at 12:45.

We enjoyed our excursion to the sandbar so much we went again without even looking at other excursions. The first time was an all adult trip. The second was not, however it was just as fun.
